The fishing calendar below is
presented to give you a better idea of typical
fishing periods of the Columbia River in Oregon
and Washington. These seasons may vary and
regulations may cause the seasons to change
also. Please call Dave Maroon for up to the
minute changes in fisheries and to better plan
your next trip. Fishing clients are also not
"bound" to the above fishing times and dates.
For example, if you want to fish for Salmon in
December, and the species is not listed as
available that month there is still a good
possibility that Salmon fishing can be done in
December.
In 2003 there was a
run of "Winter Chinook" with some fish running over 30 pounds.
This was somewhat rare, but Dave Maroon has a degree in fish
biology and has worked on fisheries projects in Alaska, Oregon
and California. With his expert knowledge he is more likely to
be on top of what is going on and what possibilities for
catching any and all types of fish may exist.
Dave Maroon's Fishing Adventures also fishes for Bass and
Catfish on the beautiful John day River arm and for Shad on the
Columbia River and the Willamette River. Best times for bass and
catfish is in June and July and May and June are hot fishing
times for Shad runs. |
